Once you've decided to move forward with the porcelain veneer procedure, you and your dentist will move forward with the planning stage. You will be able to discuss size, shape and the shade of your new veneers. A second visit will generally be scheduled to start prepping.
Prepping & temporaries
The prepping phase of the dental veneer procedure consists of removing a thin layer of enamel to make room for the porcelain veneer. Impressions will be take and sent to the lab for processing, and temporary caps will be used while you wait for the veneers to be created.
Permanent placement
The final visit in the veneer procedure consists of removing the temporary caps you've been wearing for the past 1-2 weeks. The permanent veneers are then put into place and secured with a permanent cement. You can now enjoy your amazing new smile!
